    Celebrating Prospect Avenue’s History

For decades, Prospect Avenue has grown and changed but still retained a sense of old-fashioned neighbourliness. Mariday Park Snakes

by Cindy, over 4 years ago

The Mariday Snakes Bike Club was established early in May 2020 to lift our spirits during the pandemic! Every night after dinner, we meet as neighbors and cruise through the streets of Mariday Park! Every night a different “snake” gets to lead the group around our neighborhood! We have had many new members join the group over the past couple of weeks and we love when we can include all anyone and everyone who want to participate!!! Despite the Global Pandemic, we as a group are enjoying staying active and getting to know our neighbours! ❤️

During this trying time, Alan Young and Jamie Gerow, who are known in Thunder Bay as musicians, decided they would start playing live concerts from their driveways and backyard patio’s to attract neighbours to come together. Since they were finding that they weren’t able to practice in front of a live audience, driveway concerts with social distancing of course, was a fantastic solution. This has brought great joy...
