About SnowDay

This year’s SnowDay saw snow sculpting teams bring their vision of Thunder Bay’s 50th and Sports through the Ages to life through intricate snow sculptures. Congratulations to this year's people's choice award winner: ‘Waves of Thunder’ by Chad Charles Kirvan and Mary Jane MacDonald! The event also included many family fun activities such as snowshoeing, skating, ice slides, ice sculptures, interactive games, ice fishing, bannock over the fire, science experiments, crafts, music, and so much more. Beautiful Ice Sculptures

by JLW, about 4 years ago

Loved the ice sculptures. They were so beautiful. It’d be great to see even more next year. (In addition to the snow sculptures.)

    Ice Fishing Fun

by JLW, about 4 years ago

We had such a great time with all the very interactive activities at this year’s SnowDay! We spent hours down there. My personal favourite was ice fishing! The kids were so excited. What a great free community event.
