Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on the City's online virtual summer events. Our online survey is now closed. The winner of the prize pack will be contacted directly.

Canada Day on the Waterfront, presented by Ontario Power Generation, was held virtually from June 29 – July 1, 2020. Virtual Live (this year's digital version of Live on the Waterfront), presented by Ontario Power Generation, was held every Wednesday evening online from July 8 – August 26, 2020.

Feedback on our events helps us maintain, modify and improve our events, apply for funding and secure sponsorships and awards. Information is shared in reports and presentations to groups such as City Council, funders, and sponsors.

About this summer’s virtual events

This year’s summer events looked a little different with COVID‐19 restrictions. The Canada Day Celebration and Live on the Waterfront concert series moved from the waterfront to virtual. People were able to enjoy the programming and entertainment safely from their homes.

Virtual Canada Day was programmed throughout three days and had a 50th Anniversary flare that included a science show, art projects, online e-gaming tournament, trivia, cooking demonstrations, and virtual performances. Learn more about Canada Day on the Waterfront at www.thunderbay.ca/canadaday.

Virtual Live, a weekly free concert series, offered a variety of music genres and showcased award‐winning Canadian performers as well as local talent to help celebrate the City’ 50th Anniversary. Art projects lead by community artists were also featured in between acts. Learn more about Live on the Waterfront at www.thunderbay.ca/live.
