Consultation has concluded
On Monday, Sept. 12, City Council approved the continuation and expansion of the Free Menstrual Product Program. It will be expanded to additional municipally owned public facing facilities such as City Hall and Golf Courses. The expansion will relocate under utilized dispensers from areas such as arena public washrooms to the new locations. Well used location will continue.

Background:
The City of Thunder Bay and Thunder Bay Public Library have been running a pilot project since October 2021, giving away free menstrual products at City arenas, stadia, and swimming pools, and branched of the Thunder Bay Public Library. Public engagement was held from May 11 - June 15, 2022, on the pilot project. A final report and recommendations was presented to City Council on Sept. 12.
