Consultation has concluded

The City of Thunder Bay Corporate Digital Strategy was presented to City Council as a First Report on Nov. 22, 2021, and endorsed at the Dec. 20, 2021 meeting. We invited you to read an Overview of the Digital Strategy, the full City of Thunder Bay Corporate Digital Strategy and the Report to Council.

The Digital Strategy sets out the framework for delivering customer-centred, digitally-powered City services and identifies a number of digital initiatives that should be actioned. The development of the Strategy was informed though a collaborative approach that included input from all City Divisions, committees of council (Community Communications , Accessibility Advisory), members of City Council, the Executive Management Team , various external stakeholder sand the Public through the get involved engagement platform.

Background

In today’s day and age, we find ourselves living and working in a digital, technology-driven world. Our reliance upon technology has become even more evident through the COVID-19 pandemic.

We are embracing our digital world and developing a digital strategy for the City of Thunder Bay. The Digital Strategy is all about how we can use technology to make our community work better in the digital age. Perry Group Consulting has been employed by the City to take-on this work and develop our roadmap to transform service delivery and City processes for you, our residents.

Our public engagement period ran from May 31 - June 13, 2021. Thank you for your input.

Your input has helped inform the development and implementation of the City’s new Digital Strategy as we look ahead to tomorrow and the years to come.
