Consultation has concluded

The City commissioned Ipsos, a professional public opinion research company, to conduct our 2019 Citizen Satisfaction Survey. The survey was conducted for two weeks in April, via telephone, to a random selection of residents.

The survey included a wide range of topics such as the most important issues facing the community, quality of life in Thunder Bay, satisfaction with municipal services, and others. This survey was an opportunity for citizens to have their voice heard and to speak out on important community issues.

An online version of the Citizen Satisfaction Survey was also made available to residents until the end of April. This provided an opportunity for those not contacted by telephone to share their input.

The survey is now closed. Thank you to all residents who participated.

A presentation of Key Findings was presented to City Council on May 6. The Final Report was presented on May 27, 2019.

Telephone surveys, conducted by Ipsos, will take place April 2 - 16.

The scientifically valid telephone survey gathers data from 500 randomly-selected residents over 18 years of age to gauge how satisfied they are with the services and quality of life Thunder Bay offers. The survey generates results that are accurate +/- 4.4 percentage points, 19 times out of 20.

Thank you for taking the call if you are contacted. An online survey will begin April 18 to provide everyone an opportunity to share their input.
