Thank you to everyone who shared their initial input for the 2023 City Budget over the summer. We heard from 268 residents.

Read the Pre-Budget Engagement Summary Report to hear what residents had to say. The Summary Report, along with a full verbatim citizen comments Report, were shared directly with City Council for their consideration during budget deliberations.

The Budget is more than dollars and cents. It impacts you through the programs and services you receive. These services are your tax dollars at work. The City's mission is to provide a balance of services that improve our quality of life and supports our economy in a responsible manner.

We collected your feedback to share with City Council as they sets the direction for the year head.

Public Engagement

A 2023 Pre-Budget Survey was available online from June 22 – July 20, 2022.

Hard Copy Surveys were also available until July 20 at the following locations:

• In City Hall Lobby
• In all Branches of the Thunder Bay Public Library
• Printed in The Source on June 30
• Available for download

Additional engagement opportunities are be available when the proposed budget is released in early January.
