Renewing Thunder Bay's Strategic Plan

Thunder Bay's Strategic Plan guides Council's vision, priorities, and decision-making for the community.

As Maamawe, Growing Together (2023-2027) approaches the end of its term, the City is beginning work to update its strategic priorities and direction for the years ahead. Administration is proposing a 10-year Community Strategic Plan, supported by Council action plans updated each term of Council. This approach would provide long-term direction for the community while allowing Council priorities and actions to be updated each term.

The purpose of this survey is to gather perspectives and insights from the current Council. Responses will help inform future engagement with residents, staff, Indigenous communities, community partners, businesses, and the incoming Council following the October 2026 municipal election.

The following questions seek your feedback on the current Strategic Plan, future priorities, emerging opportunities and challenges, and Thunder Bay’s long-term direction.

This survey will remain open until Friday, October 16, 2026.
